At Silva we follow the stringent European food regulations for the import of cacao beans.

We also import organic or fair trade certified cacao beans.  Some of our beans are organically produced but don’t come with a certificate. In our offerings, you will read which ones carry an organic certificate. All our products comply with the fair trade principles as established by the World Fair Trade Organization, some cacao’s are fair trade certified and some follow the SPP – Small Producers Program principles. For Specialty cacao, we pay premium prices for quality, which are higher than the fair trade minimum price.
