NICARAGUA – CASTILLERO

Nicaragua’s El Castillero cacao is grown by smallholders farmers who have adopted an agroforestry approach to grow cacao near the Rio San Juan in the El Castillero region of Nicaragua. The cacao has a pleasant balance between sweetness, fruity tones of yellow fruit and licorice. It is no surprise that this cacao was recognized as a Cocoa of Excellence.
