BRAZIL – BAHIA CABRUCA ORGANIC

This Brazilian classic cacao grows in the central corridor of the Atlantic Rainforest in the “Cabruca” system, a famous agroforestry system where cacao trees grow under the canopy of the  Mata Atlantica rainforest. 28 Farmers are organised in the “Cooperative do Productores Organic do Sul do Bahia”, and grow Cabruca cacao on 970 ha of land, while conserving an additional 470 ha of rainforest. By working with this cacao you contribute to conservation of biodiversity and the habitat of the golden-headed lion tamarin.
